Ai Takes too long

I asked Create to make a layout.

“Make a stack with a single large text area in the middle of the window and a nav bar on top with 6 buttons, the 2nd and 3rd being blank”

It was still going after 7 hours on an M1 iMac.

What am I missing?

James

It should only have taken 2 to 3 mins (we’re working on speeding that up). If it didn’t work after that or a little longer than that sounds like it fell over somewhere. Try again?

Unfortunatley something seems quite amiss.
Deleted all preferences, donloaded fresh copy of DP9.
Launched it and it and clicked on “Blank project” and all I see is the blue progess circle.
I have been watching it for a few minutes.
Activity monittor show Create using 20% plus of CPU.
I am usinfgan M1 iMac
MAc runnning Tahoe latest public beta.

Moved to my M4 MacMini running Tahoe 26.1 (release)
Soret of worked, plugged in my prompt but got this:
“Creation of a new nav stack, buttons and a large input requires the Stack/container widget guide (layout/children creation API). I have Button and Input guides but need the Stack/container guide to create and place child objects.”

So 2 things.

  1. Current DP9 or previous DP8 does not seem to like MacOS 26.2 public beta.
  2. Create copilot seems to be lacking what it needs in the guide area
