I am interested in what is involved in opening legacy stacks created in livecode over to LCC. I ask as there are a few posts indicating that code will require modification. However, these posts are from September 2023 so I’m sure that there have been changes.

The post from Sept 2023 around ‘code changes’ were referring to ‘things needed to get it working in the web engine’. This isn’t relevant to Create Native - existing stacks should work without code changes. Depending on what your stacks do, existing stacks may need code changes (amongst other things) to deploy to web. - but that’s true if you were deploying to web from LC10 or from Classic mode in Create.
Ultimately the goal is for your stacks to work in LiveCode Create Native without any code changes.
