LCC Native Password Requirement?

Not sure if I should call this a bug or not, but I don’t think things should work like this. Every time I launch LCC Native and when I switch to Classic the following pops up (does not when going from Classic back to Create):

Why is LCC needing to access Keychain?

EDIT: I did click “deny” once and it seemed to still load Classic.

If you click Always Allow, it should be fine and stop asking you each time.

The engine stores your activation username and password in the keychain as that’s the most secure place to do so.

Just to clarify, the app is just using info that it stored in the keychain when we activated so it can “phone home” and update license when it needs to? Seems reasonable, but probably should include that somewhere so that security conscious folks don’t get alarmed by the request.

Yes - LC10 does exactly the same thing - as has every LiveCode version since I think about 9.6.4.

Its so that you don’t have to re-enter your username/password each time you load the IDE. We will have a think about that dialog. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
