DP-1 starts always in fullscreen. It is unhandy on my ultra wide screen and needs to be improved. It is not a bug but a feature 
Yes - a single window (default) mode is coming in a future DP. That will resolve this and make using LC just like any other modern app.

Question: Opening a substack in full screen on the 2nd monitor.
I usually create two stacks in LC Classic. The main stack controls the graphics and text on the substack. The substack is opened in full screen on the 2nd monitor. A video is recorded on the 2nd monitor. Recording video is the main purpose, I am not making a standalone.
I tried “Import from Classic” to open my Classic stack on the Create. I could import the main stack, but I could not open the substack. This is the demo video of the Classic application. https://youtu.be/hssi3bxH5sE
